Aspen has some of the most sought after winter events of any ski resort in North America. After a day on the slopes or shopping in Aspen, put on your best aprés ski ensemble to take on the town.  From November through April, there is always something going on, mark your calendar and get ready to find your favorite Annual Winter Event in Aspen.

Belly Up Aspen When you come to Aspen / Snowmass a must see hot spot is the Belly Up, Aspen. The Belly Up hosts musical talent from around the world including acts such as: Ben Harper, Social Distortion, Damien Marley, B.B. Aspen Winternational FIS Women's World Cup Races  Spectators near and far are invited to the ba
se of Lift 1A on Aspen Mountain to enjoy prime viewing of the finish line from the grandstands. Television coverage by NBC and Versus will capture the excitement that embodies World Cup racing.

12 Days of Aspen
To celebrate the holiday season, the Aspen Chamber Resort Association is hosting the 12 Days of Aspen. From December 20-31, downtown comes alive with a variety of free holiday activities, cookies, hot chocolate and much more! WinterskölTM 
Wintersköl, Aspen's annual "toast to winter," dates back to a quiet January in 1951 when local Aspenites decided to celebrate Aspen's unique Nordic lifestyle with an eclectic weekend of festivities. The four day celebration features on-mountain activities, Soupsköl, a canine fashion show, winterfest, fireworks, and much more.

Gay Ski Week 
Aspen Gay Ski Week will be celebrating it's 38th year, and we are going to blow out all the stops for this week and continue to be the premier GLBT winter travel event. If you enjoy skiing, snowboarding, dining, shopping, music, comedy and more...you will love Aspen Gay Ski Week!

ESPN Winter X Games
The annual Winter X Games is the premier winter action sports event in the world, featuring athletes from across the globe competing for medals and prize money in the sports of Ski, Snowboard and Snowmobile. Winter X Games will feature nighttime events and will be telecast live on ESPN and ABC. January 28-31, 2016


The Owl Creek Chase
The Owl Creek Chase has been one of Colorado's largest and most premier cross-country ski races since 1985. The challenging course from Snowmass Village to Aspen presents the very best that Colorado skiing has to offer; tough climbs, scenic views andd excellent snow conditions.

Aspen Laff Festival
After countless years as the featured site for the HBO/U.S. Comedy Arts Festival, and three years as the co-producer and home of the Aspen Rooftop Comedy Festival, the Wheeler stepped up in 2011 to present its own unique four-day comedy experience, where comics got to do what comics do best: Everything funny. The 2015 event is being planned right now, so mark your calendar. Come ski all day and laugh all night as we present the most brilliant new voices in comedy in a variety of stand-up and improv events at the Wheeler.

Audi Power of Four Ski Mountaineering Race
This legendary race is celebrated through the Aspen Valley. With 3 divisions for competitive ski, competitive snowboard and overall non-competitive, each team must finish the course (designed by Chris Davenport and Travis McClain) within the 4 hour time frame. This is open to any skier or snowboarder who enjoys riding Aspen Highlands.  February 27, 2016

Bud Light Spring Jam
Aspen's premier spring festival in the Colorado Rocky Mountains, continues like never before! The festival kicks off with the Core Party concert in downtown Aspen and continues the next day with KickAspen Big Air, where skiers and snowboarders compete under the lights at the base of Aspen Mountain. A terrain park Boot Camp also offers both adults and kids instruction on how to slide a box or hit a rail in a mini-park on Snowmass. There will be two Bud Light Hi-Fi concerts throughout the event and last year’s new events Schneetag and Helly Hansen Battle in the Bowls will once again join the Spring Jam line up.

Aspen ShortsFest
Recognized as one of the world's "50 Leading Film Festivals" by IndieWIRE, Aspen Shortsfest is one of the world's premier international short film and video showcases for the trend-setting art form: the short. This Oscar-qualifying international competition offers a lively, thought-provoking, and humorous selection of drama, comedy, animation and documentary - all at 40 minutes or less.
